Descriptive Writing
During the cool Kalahari Desert nights, the wildlife comes out. Against the golden setting sun I see a giraffe's silhouette: not one, but three. The sun outlines their prominent horns, long necks, and incredibly strong legs. I see the tall and strong giraffes marching along the uneven desert grounds. Moving together in line and rhythm past the clouds in the sky and the tall trees, what an incredible sight. Wow. I have never seen something so beautiful and mysterious before. I wonder where they are going when they walk together, or what their destination is. Is it a tall bushy tree that they like to snack on, or a watering hole populated by crocodiles and hippos? Where will the setting sun take them, and what will they do after dark?
The heat from the blazing sun has slowly retired, and the young radiate moon is coming out. The outline of the mountains in the distance becomes no more, the silhouette of the trees is becoming faint, and the grass on the ground can only be heard from the rustling of my feet. I hear the hum, roars, and laughs of the animals around me. I smell the earthy and refreshing smells of the night that fill the air, this is the wild night. I look up in the sky and see the glow of the moon and the twinkle of the stars. This is the wild sky. This is the beautiful and wild feeling of nature.
